Role

As the photographer for "People of Galle Fort," I was responsible for capturing the unique characteristics of the Fort's residents and their daily lives. Growing up in Galle Fort provided me with an intimate understanding of its essence and the stories of its people. This personal connection allowed me to authentically document the community's spirit and heritage. Additionally, I facilitated and organized the interviews, engaging in-depth conversations with the residents to ensure their stories were accurately and respectfully represented. Through this project, I gained a profound appreciation for the Fort’s communal spirit, its history, and the importance of preserving its stories for future generations.

Final Product

The final product is an illustrated guide and storybook that offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of Galle Fort's residents.
